Founded in 2007, Metro_POLIS specializes in Architecture and Landscape Design, strategically partnering with Polis University and its Institute for Development and Research. This collaboration, alongside Co-PLAN (Institute for Habitat Development), forms a dynamic team of experts in urban planning and governance. Metro_POLIS is structured into three units: Metro_ARCH, Metro_PLAN, and Metro_ING, ensuring high design standards both domestically and internationally. The studio also has local representatives in Skopje, North Macedonia, and Pristina, Kosovo, and collaborates with various international studios.
Metro_POLIS aims to execute architectural, urban, and engineering projects with both local and foreign partners, focusing on applied research and consultancy. The studio conducts contemporary design research with a focus on the Balkan and Mediterranean regions, leveraging a mix of private, NPO, and academic resources. This approach enables innovative, sustainable solutions for complex architectural challenges. The studio’s philosophy embraces the latest trends, prioritizing human-centered design through a continuous dialogue between nature and the built environment. Metro_POLIS engages in creative projects with individuals, and private and public institutions, synthesizing the work of experienced professionals and ambitious young talents to foster new ideas and energies.
